Primitive Interaction Protocols for Agents in a Dynamic Environment
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes a generic multi-agent systems architecture for dynamic collaboration in an open environment. This architecture is described as composed of basic role-oriented processes communicating though primitive interaction protocols. The architecture is aimed to provide an enabling communications framework upon which multi-agent system (MAS) models can be organized and built. In particular, we plan to use this architecture in future research as an experimental test bed on which to study the suitability of human, face-to-face interaction factors—as described in the social sciences—as guidelines for analyzing and improving the interaction abilities of software agents.

Comparison of three types of G × E performance plot for showing and interpreting genotypes’ stability and adaptability
A G × E performance (interaction, profile) plot for showing genotype-by-environment data is discussed. Three versions of such a plot are compared: the regular performance plot; the performance plot based on coded data (environment-centered performance plot), in which the environment means of a trait are subtracted from data; and the performance plot based on data standardized in environments (e...

Mobile agent systems incur resource overheads as they acquire and maintain knowledge about their network environment. This paper presents a technique that, for a speci c set of cases, optimises network resource consumption through dynamic selection of agent interaction protocols. This process is made possible through learning on the part of static knowledge agents, which can then predict the li...

متن کاملRepresenting Interaction Protocols in DAML
We present an extension to DAML-S for representing interaction protocols. An interaction protocol defines the messaging patterns between communicating entities such as software agents. Serializing interaction protocols in a suitable form for reuse supports creating software agents capable of adapting to various environments. Serialized interaction protocols can be utilized, for example, when sp...
متن کاملEffects of Fluid Environment Properties on the Nonlinear Vibrations of AFM Piezoelectric Microcantilevers
Nowadays, atomic-force microscopy plays a significant role in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and is widely used for direct measurement at atomic scale and scanning the sample surfaces. In tapping mode, the microcantilever of atomic-force microscope is excited at resonance frequency. Therefore, it is important to study its resonance. Moreover, atomic-force microscopes can be operated in fluid e...
